A Grand Tribute Wallace Figurine

For over 30 years, Wallace & Gromit have become a household name, and we’ve all grown to know and love the unmistakable original voice of Wallace and his many cheese-related catchphrases. All were delivered eloquently by actor Peter Sallis.   
 
Peter played the voice of Wallace for 27 years and became great friends with Aardman’s Nick Park. Peter sadly passed away in June 2017. Nick embarked on a commemorative sculpture with artist Lorna Cashmore to celebrate Peter’s life and career to incorporate his favourite memories, ‘A Grand Tribute’ Wallace sculpture for the Gromit Unleashed 2 trail.   
 
How best to honour the much-beloved voice of Wallace than by immortalising this classic British character in bronze and taking his place amongst other legends of the film industry in Millenium Square? 
 
This Wallace had an extra-special sound tower, and if you pressed the button, you’d hear Wallace’s signature quotes, ‘Everybody knows the moon is made of cheese, ‘Hold tight, lad and ‘Think of Lancashire hot pot’. Not only that, but you’ll see exciting facts and details about Peter written across his bench.   
 
When A Grand Tribute went under the hammer at the end of Gromit Unleashed 2, it raised a whopping £55,000 for Bristol Children’s Hospital. It was one of the highest-grossing sculptures in the auction - an incredible legacy to the beloved actor. 

We are delighted to share this much-awaited and treasured figurine to add to your collection.  

Like the big version, the figurine replicates the quotes and facts of the legend Peter Sallis. He’s bronzed just like the stature, complete with bench, but you’ll have to provide the Wallace impersonations.   

This is a cracking tribute to a great man and a fantastic, animated character.
